Alex is joining other Greens campaigning for:
- 20mph speed limits for residential streets
- Neighbourhood policing teams
- Better street lighting
- Improving cycling and pedestrian facilities including more crossings and cycle lanes
"Greens are leading the fight for a better quality of life in our city," says Alex. "I'm committed to improving local public transport links and also dealing with anti-social behaviour."
Greens are championing the quality and safety of local green spaces across our city. Alex Phillips and other local Green activists are continuing their campaign for Network Rail to replant the embankments they cut back. Alex also passionately believes in saving the BHASVIC fields from development.
Alex has joined Green councillors in calling for more school places to be provided for families in the city centre.
Greens are calling for a new primary school and a new secondary school to be developed for city centre children to prevent the distress and excess travel from the school place lottery.
Greens believe every child deserves good quality schooling close to home.
